There is a major resolution to the LSU situation we’ve been following.

The Southeastern Conference presidents and chancellors completed Thursday’s meeting without imposing sanctions on LSU Tigers and without taking action to expel LSU from the conference. The conference said discussions would continue, but the immediate threat to LSU’s SEC membership has substantially receded.
LSU has also filled its final two roster positions with Aidan Anding and Gabriel Reliford, reaching the 105-player limit. That effectively closes the door on former NFL players Dae’Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris joining LSU for the 2026 season. LSU President Wade Rousse informed Commissioner Greg Sankey that the roster is now locked and described the eligibility dispute as moot.
Impact on our LSU outlook: This removes a potentially enormous off-field uncertainty. We can now evaluate LSU strictly on the team it actually has rather than worrying about possible SEC sanctions or expulsion. Wright and Harris should not be considered part of LSU’s 2026 personnel.
I found no other new SEC injury, quarterback, suspension, transfer or depth-chart development tonight significant enough to change another team’s season outlook.
