Several new developments involving LSU, Alabama, Missouri, and Kentucky. An optimistic meeting of the SEC results in no adverse action taken against LSU, for now.

I checked the latest reports, and there are four developments worth putting on our radar tonight.
LSU — SEC meeting ends without sanctions. This is the biggest development. SEC presidents and chancellors met Thursday but did not impose sanctions on LSU over the Dae’Quan Wright/Zxavian Harris eligibility fight. The conference says discussions will continue, so the dispute isn’t necessarily finished. LSU has now filled its 105-man roster without Wright or Harris, and LSU president Wade Rousse argues that makes the immediate dispute moot.
Alabama — offensive-line concern before Kentucky. Starting right guard Michael Carroll is listed doubtful for Saturday’s game. That’s significant because he’s Alabama’s only returning offensive lineman who started games in 2025. RB AK Dear and DB Jireh Edwards are questionable, while WR Noah Rogers remains out.
Kentucky — getting healthier at the right time. The Wildcats received almost the opposite injury news. RB Jovantae Barnes, CBs Terhyon Nichols and Hasaan Sykes, and RT Malachi Wood have come off the injury report after missing Week 1. Barnes’ return in particular gives Kentucky another explosive option against Alabama.
Missouri — Cayden Green expected back. Starting LT Cayden Green, who missed Missouri’s opener, has returned to practice and is expected to play Friday night at Kansas. That’s a meaningful reinforcement for the No. 23 Tigers going into the Border War.
The LSU situation is the headline. A few days ago we were talking about potential sanctions and even the extraordinary possibility of SEC membership action. Tonight, nothing was imposed. I would not call the matter settled, though—the SEC explicitly says discussions will continue.
