Florida should have a substantial talent advantage over Florida Atlantic, but the Gators need to establish control early rather than allowing the Owls to gain confidence. Florida should emphasize its running game and use its superior offensive-line size to create manageable situations for the quarterback. Florida Atlantic’s best chance will come from forcing turnovers and connecting on explosive passes before Florida’s defense can settle into the game. The Gators should be able to generate consistent pressure while limiting the Owls’ rushing attack. Florida may encounter some early resistance, but its depth should eventually produce a comfortable margin during the second half.
