The LSU-South Carolina football series is an intriguing matchup in college football, representing a clash between two prominent SEC teams. Though the two schools, LSU and South Carolina, do not meet as frequently as some other SEC rivals due to playing in different divisions, their contests are often closely watched.
LSU, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been a powerhouse in the SEC West, while South Carolina, located in Columbia, South Carolina, competes in the SEC East. Historically, LSU has held the upper hand in the series, winning the majority of the games. The teams first met in 1930, but their meetings became more regular after South Carolina joined the SEC in 1992.
