Oklahoma — All-American David Stone injured in practice. Star defensive tackle David Stone suffered a knee injury Monday when he collided with a scout-team player during a jog-through. Stone, a preseason AP first-team All-American, is officially questionable for Saturday’s game at No. 2 Georgia. Coach Brent Venables said the knee “kind of popped out,” although X-rays were encouraging and Stone reported very little pain. He has 12 tackles and two tackles for loss through three games and is one of the centerpieces of Oklahoma’s defense. His status is now one of the biggest personnel questions surrounding the Georgia-Oklahoma game.
Alabama — two important offensive weapons finally return. Running back AK Dear and wide receiver Noah Rogers have been cleared to make their 2026 season debuts Saturday against South Carolina. Dear has been out since suffering an ankle injury during fall camp, while Rogers has been recovering from the knee injury he suffered during Alabama’s spring game. Neither appears on Wednesday’s SEC availability report. Their return gives quarterback Keelon Russell two significant additional weapons as Alabama enters the heart of its SEC schedule.
Alabama did receive some bad news defensively: linebackers Justin Hill and Desmond Umeozulu are both newly listed as out against South Carolina.
Texas — starting-caliber backfield and tight-end concerns before Tennessee. Running back Hollywood Smothers is questionable for Saturday’s showdown with No. 14 Tennessee. Smothers, one of Texas’ major offseason transfer additions, has 198 rushing yards through three games. Tight end Nick Townsend has been downgraded to doubtful, while defensive lineman Justus Terry is officially out. There is better news on star edge rusher Colin Simmons: he is listed probable and appears set to return against Tennessee.
Ole Miss — Kewan Lacy remains questionable, but the picture is improving. Star running back Kewan Lacy is officially questionable at Florida after the shoulder injury suffered against LSU. He has returned to limited practice work. Ole Miss also gets running back Makhi Frazier back, strengthening the Rebels’ depth if Lacy cannot play.
