South Carolina needs to rebound quickly from its 41-34 loss to Mississippi State, but Tuscaloosa isn’t an especially friendly place to do it.
The Gamecocks’ first priority is avoiding an early knockout. If Alabama builds a two-touchdown lead and forces South Carolina into obvious passing situations, the Crimson Tide can unleash its pass rush.
South Carolina has enough offensive ability to create problems, but sustaining drives against Alabama is another matter. Field goals won’t be enough; the Gamecocks need touchdowns when opportunities arise.
