Game Preview: Oklahoma at Georgia

Oklahoma’s trip to Athens provides the Sooners with an excellent measuring stick against one of the SEC’s established powers.

Oklahoma cannot simply try to survive. The Sooners need negative plays defensively, an early explosive play or two offensively, and perhaps a turnover that changes field position.

Georgia’s biggest advantage is depth. Oklahoma may be capable of matching the Bulldogs physically for stretches, but Georgia can continually rotate talented players through its defensive front.

The Sooners should make this competitive early. But as the afternoon progresses, Georgia’s defense begins controlling the line of scrimmage and forces Oklahoma into obvious passing situations.

The Bulldogs gradually pull away in the second half.
