Youngstown State at Kentucky — Sept. 5
Youngstown State has a respected FCS program and should not be treated casually, but Kentucky possesses clear advantages in SEC-caliber size and depth. The Wildcats should rely heavily on their offensive line and running game, forcing Youngstown State to withstand a physical attack for four quarters. Kentucky can also use the matchup to develop its passing game and evaluate younger players. The Penguins’ best chance to remain competitive will be creating turnovers and avoiding long-yardage situations against Kentucky’s defense. Youngstown State may make things uncomfortable early, but Kentucky’s superior personnel should become increasingly noticeable during the second half and produce a convincing victory.
Prediction: Kentucky 38, Youngstown State 13
