Brace yourself for another excited weekend of SEC football. Texas vs. Vanderbilt headlines this weekend’s slate with South Carolina-Ole Miss and Georgia-Florida also significant games.
Vanderbilt at Texas: This is going to be dog fight. Both teams need a win to stay in the competition for a CFP bid. Texas is at home so they have that huge advantage during third down situations. I think the Longhorns will prevail but UT’s quarterback situation is uncertain so it could swing to Vandy. Texas wins 31-28.
Georgia at Florida: Florida has struggled this season and now with an interim head coach, things are really looking bleak. Georgia rolls 48-27.
Mississippi State at Arkansas: The Bulldogs blew a good chance to defeat Texas but turnovers and penalties snuffed out that threat. Arkansas wins 31-30.
South Carolina at Ole Miss: South Carolina is a dangerous team with a tough defense and talented quarterback. South Carolina will play hard but Ole Miss should prevail. Ole Miss wins 47-31.
Oklahoma at Tennessee: Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables looked foolish saying he had the better team after losing to Ole Miss. He deserves to lose this week.
Kentucky at Auburn: Auburn’s struggled through this season and Kentucky hasn’t been much better. This one’s hard to pick but I’m going with Kentucky. UK wins 27-24.
